Say What?...

The name of the team says it all. "Midwest Best"

Moose. - Dakine / Ride Snowboard Rep

My son was passionate about snowboarding and the Midwest Best Team has provided him with the tools he needed to take it to the next level.  In his first year, he learned tricks he only dreamed of doing and has big goals for this season.  He learned not only new skills on the hill, but also mental preparation, discipline and commitment.  He has made great friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.  Thank you Brian and Dana for your knowledge, dedication to the series and assistance in providing a positive experience for us.

Sincerely,

Terri Hanold

Team Parent

Having people watch you and be able to tell you how to make your trick better helped me personally advance in my skiing...

The team brings a legit family feel when your on and off the slopes...

"You put on your boots, click into your bindings, dust the snow off your skis, and head out for the chair, and it doesn't matter that you failed a test, didn't get the girl, or that your life is on a one way trip down the pooper (sh@#$er), your world is right for the next couple of hours."..

Luke Tenpas - Former Team Member / Now Coach.

As a parent, competitor and AASI Level 1 Certified Snowboard Instructor, I think I have a good perspective on the quality of the Midwest Best Program.

As a parent, I appreciate the standards behind the training methods of the coaches.  The AASI certification program stresses safety, fun and learning, which are implemented each and every time we are out in the terrain park. Your kids are in great hands!

As a competitor,  I enjoy being challenged and rely on the constructive and highly effective feedback from the coaching staff.  The coaching staff are dedicated to helping each individual improve their technical skill - at every level. It was exciting to be out in the terrain park with the team and watch the amazing development occur as they progressed to higher and harder features!

And, as a Snowboard Instructor, the MWB Team coaching staff, continued throughout the season to exceed my expectations. They utilize techniques such as movement analysis, video review and on-hill feedback, and the ATML (approach, take-off,manuveur, landing) format during terrain park training sessions.  I observed consistent constructive feedback to each individual competitor, as well as attention to confidence building.  I joined this team to improve my terrain park skills, my overall riding skills, and try USASA competitions.  My ultimate goal was to better prepare myself for my next certification training.  I highly recommend the MWB Team and Director, Dana Wilson.  The professionalism and quality of this program is outstanding.
